Job Description

As a Data Engineer at Fospha, you will be at the core of the company’s data ecosystem. The role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines that move and transform data across multiple systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and data quality.

You will work closely with Data Science, Analytics, and Platform teams, enabling high-quality data access and supporting machine learning and analytics initiatives at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Data Pipeline & Architecture

• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines using dbt, Python, and SQL
• Implement scalable ELT / ETL frameworks for analytics and ML systems
• Contribute to data architecture decisions and documentation

Reliability & Data Quality

• Own the reliability, scalability, and observability of data workflows
• Define and enforce data quality standards and validation frameworks
• Maintain consistency and integrity across multiple data sources

Collaboration & Enablement

• Work with Data Science teams to support model deployment pipelines
• Design data models used by Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and ML Engineers
• Support automation, versioning, and continuous improvement

Analytics & Innovation

• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends
• Support strategic decision-making through high-quality data access
• Explore new ways of working using GenAI tools and workflows

Eligibility Criteria

Required Skills

• Strong experience with dbt, Python, and SQL
• Solid understanding of data modelling, warehousing, and orchestration
• Knowledge of ELT flows and data architecture principles
• Familiarity with cloud-native data stacks (AWS preferred)
• Understanding of ML Ops concepts and integration with engineering systems
• Experience with data quality frameworks and version control
