Role Summary

As a Software Security Engineer, you will design and build internal security automation, tooling, and services that protect Meesho’s products and infrastructure. Instead of relying solely on external tools, you will engineer custom security solutions that integrate seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines and runtime environments.

This role emphasizes a builder mindset, where security problems are solved through scalable engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Security Tooling & Automation

• Build and maintain internal tools for SAST, DAST, SCA, and secrets scanning
• Automate security workflows using Python, Go, or Node.js
• Create APIs and dashboards for real-time security telemetry
• Integrate security checks into GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD

Secure Software Development

• Write production-grade code to improve application security
• Build reusable frameworks for secure code review and dependency risk detection
• Partner with developers to design secure-by-default libraries and SDKs

Threat Modeling & Design Reviews

• Perform security architecture and threat modeling reviews
• Translate risks into engineering guardrails and automation
• Develop reusable threat modeling templates and scripts

Application Security Testing

• Perform and automate web, API, and mobile security testing
• Correlate findings, reduce false positives, and prioritize remediation
• Build developer-friendly validation tools and fuzzers

Developer Enablement

• Create internal security documentation and best practices
• Drive security awareness through workshops and collaboration
• Continuously remove manual effort through automation

Required Skills

• Strong coding skills in Python, Java, Go, or Node.js
• Solid understanding of web technologies, REST APIs, and CI/CD
• Familiarity with tools like Burp, ZAP, Nuclei, Trivy, Semgrep
• Knowledge of AWS/GCP security basics, Docker, Kubernetes
• Excellent communication and system-design skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with security data pipelines or AI-driven security tooling
• Exposure to LLM-assisted code review or vulnerability correlation
