Role Overview – Lead Consultant (QA Manual Tester)

As a Lead Consultant – QA Manual Tester, you will own end-to-end quality assurance for enterprise applications. You’ll design robust test strategies, execute comprehensive manual testing, manage defects, and partner with engineering and business teams to ensure releases meet user expectations and business goals.

This role also involves mentoring, process improvements, and contributing to Genpact’s AI-enabled delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute test cases for web, mobile, and service API testing
• Manage test cases and defects using Jira
• Collaborate with product, development, and business teams to define testing needs
• Perform functional, regression, compatibility, and UAT testing
• Validate APIs using tools such as Postman
• Identify, isolate, and document defects throughout the SDLC
• Prepare detailed test reports covering coverage, execution, and outcomes
• Recommend process and tooling improvements to enhance QA efficiency

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in manual QA testing across web and mobile applications
• Hands-on experience with Jira for test and defect management
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Proficiency with API testing tools (Postman or similar)
• Solid understanding of STLC and SDLC
• Experience conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Basic SQL skills for data validation
• Basic understanding of test automation concepts
• Coding exposure in Java, JavaScript, or Python
