Role Overview

As a Mechanical System Engineer, you will lead the mechanical and systems technical scope for packaged rotating equipment across global projects. You’ll integrate mechanical designs with electrical and control systems, develop P&IDs, support manufacturing and assembly, and provide field service support through warranty and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical & systems scope for packaged rotating equipment (GT-compressors, motor-driven trains, extended plant scope)
• Support Project Engineers and address technical concerns with internal/external clients
• Ensure high engineering standards during design and manufacture
• Integrate compressor/process systems with electrical & controls (lube oil, fuel gas, seal gas)
• Develop contract P&IDs and instrumentation wiring using COMOS
• Support assembly with work instructions and drawing redlines
• Perform technical calculations (component sizing, fluid flow analysis)
• Provide technical/field service support through warranty
• Manage schedules, specs, BOMs, and customer documentation
• Represent Siemens Energy as a technical domain expert

Required Qualifications & Skills

• BE Mechanical with 1–5 years experience in rotating equipment
• Ability to translate client specs into manufacturing/purchase specs
• Experience with PLM/Engineering tools (Teamcenter, NX, E3, COMOS, Jira)
• Knowledge of API standards (614/617/692) – preferred
• SAP exposure and strong Excel/MS Office skills
• Clear communication and client-facing capability
