Role Overview – Design Engineer (Valve) at Flowserve

As a Design Engineer – Valve, you will plan, develop, and improve manufacturing processes involving machining, assembly, and testing. You will work closely with manufacturing supervisors and production teams to enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve delivery timelines, while applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

This role provides strong exposure to CNC programming, tooling, fixtures, capital equipment planning, and shop-floor engineering support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate manufacturing processes for machining, assembly, and testing
  • Develop and improve manufacturing methods using engineering principles
  • Support production departments by troubleshooting technical issues
  • Ensure availability of CNC programs, tooling, and fixtures for production needs
  • Partner with manufacturing supervisors to achieve operational goals
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve quality, cost, and delivery
  • Support capital equipment proposals, justification, installation, and tracking
  • Assist in training operators on CNC programming and tooling
  • Monitor capital project progress to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Ensure compliance with safety (OSHA) and environmental regulations
  • Contribute to profit planning and manufacturing strategy initiatives
