Role Overview – Data Curator at Isha Foundation

As a Data Curator, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and integrity of audio-visual media assets before they are archived. The role involves close coordination with editors, project managers, and internal media teams to maintain accurate metadata, standardized naming conventions, and efficient archival workflows.

You will also support backlog cleanup, historical data organization, and ongoing documentation of archival processes.

Key Responsibilities

Audio-Visual Quality Review & File Validation

• Review audio and video files for quality and archival readiness
• Verify file formats, naming conventions, and metadata accuracy

Editorial Coordination & Workflow Alignment

• Coordinate with editors and Video Publication Project Managers
• Resolve issues related to incomplete uploads or file inconsistencies

Stem & Video File Management

• Manage collection and delivery of stem files to ILP and GLP teams
• Ensure files are accurately labeled and technically compatible

Data Tracking & Documentation

• Track daily archival activities using Jira and Google Sheets
• Maintain workflow documentation, issue logs, and status updates

Backlog & Ad-hoc Support

• Organize and classify older or unsorted content repositories
• Support special data cleanup and classification initiatives

General Data Curation

• Ensure data integrity, usability, and structured categorization
• Tag assets using standardized taxonomies for easy retrieval
• Act as a point of contact for archive-related queries and training support
