Role Overview – Associate 1 / Analyst (AI Software Engineer) at KPMG

In this role, you will support the development of Generative AI and Machine Learning solutions, working under the guidance of senior engineers. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to model training, data preprocessing, algorithm optimization, and AI system integration, while also contributing to UI development using Angular and modern front-end frameworks.

This position focuses heavily on learning, mentorship, and real-world project exposure within KPMG’s global AI ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, training, and fine-tuning of Generative AI models
• Assist in optimizing AI/ML algorithms for performance and scalability
• Perform data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data validation
• Evaluate AI models using appropriate metrics and validation techniques
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and domain experts
• Assist in integrating AI models into enterprise applications
• Document model architectures, experiments, and methodologies
• Continuously learn new AI tools, frameworks, and best practices

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Strong Python programming skills
• Machine Learning: Decision Trees, Random Forest, XGBoost
• Deep Learning: CNN, RNN, LSTM, NLP algorithms
• Frameworks: TensorFlow or PyTorch
• Hands-on exposure to LLMs (OpenAI, HuggingFace)
• Experience with GenAI frameworks: LangChain, LlamaIndex, LlamaParse, LlamaCloud
• Frontend expertise: Angular (v17+), TypeScript, ES6, HTML, CSS, SCSS
• UI frameworks: Angular Material or PrimeNG
