As an Analyst – Data Science at American Express, you will be part of the Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) – Global Data Science CoE, supporting AI-driven products that enable smarter decision-making, fraud prevention, and risk management. You will work closely with product owners, engineers, and data scientists to build scalable ML/AI solutions used across the enterprise.
This role blends data science, product thinking, and analytics execution, making it ideal for candidates who want both technical depth and business impact.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to defining AI/ML product strategy and long-term roadmaps
Solve complex business problems using data-driven decision science
Prioritize and manage product backlogs aligned with AI adoption goals
Translate product vision into clear requirements and acceptance criteria
Drive end-to-end ML/AI product development with engineering teams
Transform MVPs into production-ready AI solutions
Perform market research, competitive analysis, and product positioning
Build POCs for scalable AI/ML innovations
Support enterprise-wide adoption of AI products
Curate and deliver technical training in AI, Cloud, Spark, and Big Data (for learning initiatives)
