Role Summary – Data Analyst at Cision

As a Data Analyst at Cision, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining accurate, timely, and high-quality data that powers client reports and insights. You will work closely with Senior Analysts, Team Leads, and junior coding teams, ensuring consistent standards, smooth workflows, and on-time delivery.

This role combines data analysis, content coding, reporting, and qualitative insight generation in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Quality Control

• Ensure coding and data analysis output meets quality standards and delivery timelines
• Track performance metrics and enforce consistency across deliverables
• Perform regular data checks to maintain accuracy and reliability

Team Support & Oversight

• Provide guidance and feedback to junior coding teams
• Support skill development and continuous improvement initiatives
• Offer daily assistance to Senior Analysts and Team Leads

Content Management & Data Operations

• Manage content searches, uploads, and coding prioritization
• Understand project-specific coding structures and workflows
• Take ownership of initial data exports and validation

Reporting & Insights

• Use standard templates and tools to contribute to reports
• Generate charts, conduct research, and write qualitative insights
• Assist in end-to-end report production and delivery

Collaboration & Communication

• Troubleshoot data flow and tool-related issues
• Maintain regular communication with managers to prioritize tasks
• Work effectively across global teams and time zones
