Role Overview – Software Engineer, Full-Stack (EAA)

In this role, you will build and scale customer experience and compliance platforms that support Coinbase’s agents and internal users. You’ll work across the full stack, integrating third-party tools, designing scalable services, and delivering automation that drives productivity and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack applications using Go, gRPC, TypeScript, and React
• Develop scalable services that meet critical business and compliance needs
• Support best practices across coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and documentation
• Collaborate across teams and time zones
• Integrate third-party vendors and external platforms
• Proactively identify and mitigate system risks and performance issues
• Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to innovative ideas that scale across Coinbase’s platform

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

• 1+ years of experience in software engineering
• Strong experience with JavaScript and React
• Proficiency in Go (Golang)
• Experience with third-party integrations
• Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, BuildKite or similar
• Knowledge of scalability concepts like caching, rate limiting, logging, and monitoring
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Understanding of event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ)
