About the Role
If you’re passionate about data mining, analytics, and driving business growth, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! We are hiring a Data Analyst – Life Cycle Services (LCS) to join our team in Chennai, India.
In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining critical site and project databases, designing reporting dashboards, and supporting global operations across Actuation Technologies. Working closely with Sales, Inside Sales, and Project Management, you will help create value-driven solutions that support installed base growth and long-term business success.

Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze lifecycle data from global manufacturing sites to support strategic business decisions.
- Monitor and interpret data from lifecycle digital tools to gain actionable insights on user behavior and usage metrics.
- Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and work with teams to implement solutions.
- Create project-based SPIR and Data Books summarizing lifecycle insights for sales teams.
- Build and maintain user-friendly dashboards and tools for automated reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of lifecycle data.
- Develop structured databases that store lifecycle data with integrity and accessibility.
- Support strategies that enhance user engagement and customer retention.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and status updates in documentation tools to drive sales growth.
- Track and monitor compliance with document planning and control metrics.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Computer Science.
- Experience: 1–3 years in Engineering, Marketing, Sales, or Lifecycle Services—preferably within an industrial B2B environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Microsoft Power Platforms (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) – certified preferred.
- Strong data analysis skills with ability to interpret complex datasets.
- ERP experience (Oracle preferred).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a global team environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate program in Business Management or Data Analytics (offline, online, or hybrid).
- Understanding of lifecycle management concepts and how data insights drive process improvements.
- Proven ability to deliver solutions that align with both business needs and customer requirements.
