Role Overview
As a Data Science Intern at Hypersonix, you will work at the intersection of AI, data, and real-world business problems. You’ll join our dynamic product team, building and enhancing AI-powered solutions for global eCommerce and retail brands.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to uncover patterns and actionable insights.
- Design, code, and maintain parts of our AI-driven platform to drive customer adoption.
- Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and feature engineering on structured and unstructured data.
- Develop, validate, and fine-tune statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for real-time analytics.
- Use Python and open-source libraries for data processing, visualization, and predictive modeling.
- (Preferred) Fine-tune and run open-source Large Language Models (LLMs) for NLP tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data into impactful product features.
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong coding skills in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn) and solid understanding of SQL.
- Familiarity with text data processing (NLP, regex, tokenization) is a plus.
- Exposure to open-source LLMs (e.g., Llama, Mistral) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, scripting, and test automation abilities.
- Detail-oriented mindset and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
