Role Overview – Reference Data Analyst, NCT

The Reference Data Analyst is responsible for maintaining and controlling high-quality reference data used across banking platforms and regulatory frameworks. The role ensures data accuracy, completeness, validation, and classification in alignment with internal controls and compliance policies.

You will support the entire data lifecycle — from data capture and verification to system configuration and reporting. The position requires close collaboration with Front Office, Middle Office, Compliance, Audit, and Regulatory teams to ensure operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Data & Process Management

  • Approve and process account opening and maintenance requests in downstream systems
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and processing guidelines
  • Validate documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Monitor shared mailboxes and resolve operational queries
  • Perform static data updates in alignment with defined policies
  • Generate End-of-Day (EOD) logs and management information reports

Control & Risk Management

  • Investigate open or risk-related items and resolve within defined timelines
  • Escalate unresolved issues as per internal escalation matrix
  • Ensure dual-control processing standards are met with 100% accuracy
  • Maintain compliance with CAM and regulatory control frameworks

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual intervention
  • Highlight process gaps and suggest improvements
  • Contribute to operational efficiency initiatives and infrastructure enhancements
