In this role, you’ll be part of the team that ensures Five9’s cloud contact center platform runs reliably and securely. You will learn how large-scale SaaS systems are monitored and maintained, assist in troubleshooting production issues, and support continuous improvement through documentation and automation. This role is a strong foundation for careers in Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cloud-based SaaS infrastructure for uptime, performance, and reliability
• Track application health and log/report errors, exceptions, and anomalies
• Follow defined incident escalation procedures based on severity and SLAs
• Assist with system maintenance activities and deployments
• Automate routine operational tasks using Python, PowerShell, VBScript, or similar
• Document operational procedures, incidents, and troubleshooting steps
• Collaborate with global teams across engineering, support, and product
• Be flexible to work rotational shifts to support continuous operations

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related discipline
• Basic understanding of cloud services (AWS preferred or willingness to learn)
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments
• Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical skills
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, VBScript, Regex)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work in a 24×7 shift model, if required
