Role Overview – Associate QA Engineer at Harmonic

As an Associate QA Engineer, you will work with Harmonic’s Device System QA team to ensure end-to-end product quality across embedded hardware and software platforms. The role focuses on executing test plans, debugging failures, and validating fixes in an Agile environment, while collaborating closely with developers and QA engineers across teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for ECE freshers to gain hands-on exposure to embedded systems, networking protocols, Linux environments, and scripting tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end functional testing of embedded systems (Software & Hardware)
• Execute existing test plans and identify failures
• Debug issues on complete end-to-end setups
• Verify fixes in collaboration with development teams
• Work closely with DUT (Device Under Test) developers and QA engineers
• Ensure product quality in an Agile development environment
• Gain exposure to QA processes, debug tools, and testing frameworks

Required Skills & Knowledge

Mandatory

• BE / BTech in Electronics & Communication Engineering
• Strong understanding of Layer 3 networking protocols
• Good English communication skills (written & spoken)
• High interpersonal and teamwork skills

Preferred / Advantage

• Linux fundamentals
• Scripting languages: Python, Perl, Bash
• Interest in embedded systems & networking technologies
