Job Description

As a Software Development Engineer 1, you will support the design and development of software solutions across different layers of the application stack. The role provides exposure to both frontend and backend development, code troubleshooting, and platform enhancement based on user requirements.

This position is well suited for candidates who have strong programming fundamentals and are eager to learn industry standards and enterprise-grade development practices.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

• Assist in designing and developing software solutions with guidance from senior engineers
• Work across frontend and backend components of applications
• Support enhancements to existing platforms based on user needs

Debugging & Maintenance

• Identify and troubleshoot code-related issues
• Help improve performance, stability, and usability of applications
• Follow best practices while implementing fixes and enhancements

Collaboration & Quality

• Participate in reviews of functional specifications and validation documents
• Gain working knowledge of industry and company-specific quality standards
• Support small development tasks with defined instructions

Eligibility Criteria

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
• Hands-on exposure to at least one OOP language (Java / Python / PHP / Ruby)
• Basic knowledge of web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Understanding of relational databases and basic SQL queries (preferred)
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to React or Node.js
• Familiarity with full-stack development concepts
• Interest in healthcare, life sciences, or enterprise software platforms
