Job Description

As a Software Quality Engineer at Mouser Electronics, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions to ensure software quality across applications. The role involves working closely with development teams, managing defects, and contributing to automation frameworks and deployment pipelines.

You will play a key role in improving test coverage, maintaining automation standards, and supporting continuous integration and delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Execution

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts
• Perform regression testing and validate defect fixes
• Maintain automation scripts following coding and scripting standards

Defect & Test Management

• Create, manage, and track defects in defect management tools
• Update test execution status and participate in test reporting
• Provide accurate task estimates and support test planning

Collaboration & CI/CD

• Work closely with development teams to reuse unit tests and test objects
• Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure version control of all test artifacts using Git

Quality & Mentorship

• Participate in peer reviews of automation scripts
• Guide junior QA engineers and test technicians
• Ensure adherence to SDLC, STLC, and bug life cycle standards

Eligibility Criteria

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Selenium automation
• Knowledge of Python or similar scripting languages
• Experience with BDD frameworks
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle
• Hands-on experience with Git and Git workflows
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Good to Have Skills

• Experience in Agile projects
• Knowledge of UniVerse programming language and database
• Experience preparing test plans, budgets, and schedules
