Role Overview – Junior Service Desk Associate at Mphasis

As a Junior Service Desk Associate, you will provide Level 1 customer support for mobile and fixed-line users. You will handle customer queries via calls and digital channels, troubleshoot basic device issues, manage service requests, and ensure customer satisfaction through accurate and timely resolutions.

This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy problem-solving, multitasking, and delivering white-glove customer service in a fast-paced support environment.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day customer support via inbound calls, live chat, email, and portals
  • Process service orders, update account information, and resolve basic mobile issues
  • Troubleshoot Android and iOS-related concerns at a basic level
  • Communicate clearly with team members regarding issue status and escalations
  • Meet SLA targets including login time, availability, and call handling metrics
  • Ensure accurate task completion within defined service timelines
  • Use ticketing systems to log, track, and escalate issues when required
  • Maintain and manage customer and personal support inboxes
  • Demonstrate professional, courteous phone etiquette at all times
  • Identify root causes and resolve customer issues efficiently to reduce callbacks

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Basic understanding of Android and iOS mobile devices
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn internal tools
  • Willingness to work US shifts (6 PM – 6 AM IST) including Indian holidays
  • Ability to work in a 24×7 rotational shift environment
  • Ticketing system exposure (ServiceNow, Maximo, Remedy) is a plus
  • Reliable internet connection for potential WFH scenarios
  • Comfortable with video calls during training and reviews
