Role Overview – Software Engineer (SRE) at NetApp

As a Software Engineer (SRE), you will work on AI-driven and GenAI services under NetApp’s Active IQ platform, ensuring systems are scalable, fault-tolerant, highly available, and SLA-compliant.

You will bridge development and operations by building automation, observability, CI/CD pipelines, and self-healing infrastructure, enabling reliable AI workloads at enterprise scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain SRE automation tools for deployment, monitoring, and scaling
• Implement observability platforms (metrics, logs, tracing) for AI services
• Support production deployment of GenAI models with engineering and data teams
• Design fault-tolerant infrastructure using Kubernetes and Docker
• Drive incident management, capacity planning, and post-incident reviews
• Build CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and validation
• Implement self-recovery mechanisms to reduce downtime
• Ensure security, compliance, and resilience of microservices
• Collaborate with global Active IQ teams across geographies
