Role Overview – Technical Support Engineer-1

As a Tier-1 Technical Support Engineer at RingCentral, you will provide frontline technical assistance to customers using RingCentral’s VoIP and cloud communication solutions. You will troubleshoot networking issues, guide customers on system configuration, and ensure high-quality service delivery across phone, chat, email, and screen-sharing channels.

This role requires working in US shift timings and collaborating with global teams to deliver fast, accurate, and professional technical support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier-1 technical support for RingCentral VoIP and cloud services
  • Troubleshoot networking, routers, modems, and VoIP configurations
  • Answer customer queries via phone, chat, email, and screen sharing
  • Resolve technical, service, and billing-related concerns professionally
  • Recommend appropriate network hardware, software, and design solutions
  • Escalate issues beyond scope while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Adhere to company schedules, quality standards, and performance metrics
  • Participate in training, assessments, and continuous skill improvement

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in technical support or customer service roles
  • Strong understanding of VoIP technology and basic networking concepts
  • Knowledge of routers, modems, and network architecture
  • English proficiency at C1 / C2 level
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in US shifts
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
