Role Overview – Security Loss & Prevention Associate at Bigbasket

As a Security Loss & Prevention Associate, you will be responsible for identifying potential loss situations, monitoring CCTV footage, and ensuring compliance with safety and security processes across Bigbasket facilities. The role involves close coordination with site teams to investigate discrepancies, prevent asset loss, and improve overall operational profitability.

This position is suitable for candidates aiming to build a career in retail security, loss prevention, asset protection, and corporate security operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and escalate loss situations to relevant stakeholders
• Conduct CCTV monitoring and video reviews to identify exceptions
• Report incidents, trigger alarms, and track issues until closure
• Monitor loss-prevention metrics such as cycle count, FEFO, write-offs & second sales
• Perform L1 checks of SAS (Security Automation System) and raise early repair alerts
• Monitor HSE non-compliances and notify deviations
• Assist sites with regular safety drills and compliance checks
• Ensure proper asset reconciliation during inter-location movement
• Investigate store and DC discrepancies using CCTV footage
• Travel to sites as required and support other LOBs (BB Now, Fresho, 5Ks)
