Role Overview – Software Engineer (Enterprise Identity Services) at Autodesk

As a Software Engineer in Enterprise Identity Services, you will design, build, and maintain large-scale Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions using SailPoint IIQ / SailPoint IdentityNow on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define IAM standards, improve service resilience, and modernize identity systems across Autodesk’s global ecosystem.

The role involves architecture ownership, technical leadership, and hands-on development in a highly secure and scalable environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and drive architecture for large-scale IAM solutions
• Build and deliver SailPoint IIQ / IdentityNow solutions on AWS or Azure
• Lead contextual and role-based access management implementations
• Define IAM best practices, standards, and technical roadmaps
• Act as the go-to expert for complex IAM and identity issues
• Mentor team members and provide technical leadership
• Integrate IAM solutions with applications, HR systems, and directories
• Work with SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID, and modern authentication standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with SailPoint IIQ / SailPoint IdentityNow
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure
• Core Java development and customization skills
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and connectors
• Understanding of RBAC, identity lifecycle management, SoD

DevOps & Tooling

• CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub
• Automation tools such as Docker, Puppet, or Chef
• Scripting: JavaScript, Python, Shell, PowerShell
• Familiarity with LDAP, Active Directory, DNS, networking basics

Nice to Have

• Experience with Okta, Ping Federate, or other SSO platforms
