Job Description
As an Associate – Chat Support, you will handle first-line customer interactions across multiple service areas using written communication channels. You will leverage available tools, knowledge, and processes to resolve queries efficiently while delivering a consistently high standard of service.
The role requires strong customer focus, empathy, and the ability to manage multiple conversations while meeting quality and performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Support & Communication
Handle and resolve first-line customer queries via written channels.
Provide accurate, timely, and tailored solutions to customers.
Ensure minimal impact to customers and colleagues while maintaining strong NPS scores.
Performance & Quality
Deliver all critical metrics consistently and meet agreed service standards.
Ensure all open tickets are closed within defined timelines.
Understand and contribute to key performance measures.
Teamwork & Development
Role model Tesco values and contribute positively to the team environment.
Participate in regular discussions with managers and colleagues.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of work processes and share insights with peers.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support change initiatives.
Work in roster-based shifts to support customer operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong customer service orientation.
Experience in customer service, preferably through written channels.
Excellent written communication skills in English.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
Empathy and strong customer focus.
Good typing speed and accuracy.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Email).
