Position Overview
Google India is hiring a Content Specialist for YouTube Trust & Safety in Hyderabad, Telangana. This role is oriented toward ensuring a safe and expressive platform by enforcing content policies, managing escalated cases, and driving continuous process improvements within YouTube’s Trust & Safety organization.
What You’ll Do
- Review and assess graphic, controversial, or potentially offensive video content in alignment with YouTube’s Community Guidelines.
- Manage escalations across regions, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure accurate resolution and compliance.
- Collaborate with broader Trust & Safety teams to test and refine new tools, systems, and escalation workflows.
- Analyze content incident data to identify trends and recommend operational improvements .
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven problem-solving abilities, experience reviewing or assessing digital content.
- Proficient in data analysis and advanced spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior exposure to Trust & Safety, content moderation, or content policy enforcement.
- Familiarity with international issues such as freedom of expression, cybercrime, or controversial content domains.
- Experience with SQL or other analytical tools.
- Excellent investigative, time-management, and collaboration skills.
