Job Description
Role Purpose
This trainee role focuses on designing test cases, validating software, ensuring test coverage, and maintaining Wipro’s high-quality standards for client deployments.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Design
Understand business requirements and convert them into testable scenarios.
Prepare detailed test plans and design test cases.
Follow Wipro’s Model-Based Testing methodology to create efficient test sets.
Ensure all test cases are peer-reviewed to reduce rework.
Test Execution
Perform functional, automation, and UAT testing.
Work closely with development teams to log and track defects.
Identify software issues and prepare detailed defect reports.
Ensure zero slippages and deliver results within Wipro/Client SLA.
Automation & Frameworks
Automate testing using tools like VB Macros, GUI automation, scheduling scripts, etc.
Contribute to designing and maintaining automation frameworks.
Generate test execution dashboards and reports after each cycle.
Quality Metrics & Reporting
Prepare test status dashboards and test execution reports.
Maintain accurate effort logs in eCube, TMS, and other project-related trackers.
Ensure timely response to client requests and maintain professional communication.
Customer Interaction
Provide clear and professional communication through email, calls, and reports.
Offer feedback on usability, functionality, and serviceability.
Participate in defect triage meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
